Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor on WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding DUI instances. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the year award for every aspect of South Carolina media. In the years following her stay in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She co-hosted both The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
