Maria brink......................Maria Brink was born on December 18 1977 into a troubled family in New York. Her father was absent from the family at a very young age. Brink dropped out of high-school at 14 years old after becoming pregnant. Brink moved into an apartment after the birth of Davion and then began work in the laundry. Brink formed her first group Pulse with a base in Albany New York. It was primarily a support band local bands such as Coal Chamber or Sevendust. The group broke up later. At the age of twenty-five, she moved from California and moved to Los Angeles, looking for her big break. Brink was employed in retail stores performing in bars, and cafes while looking for a new band. Within two years, she met Chris Howorth (now a band member) during an audition. Howorth did not want to take her on because she was a woman. After he listened to her Howorth's audition, he changed his mind and apologized. They created the Dying Stars group with Jeff Fabb, a drummer. Blake Bunzel, Josh Newell and Josh Bunzel later added to the group. In This Moment changed their name only after two performances.
